Synergize is run by Tom Singhgolden, a former NCAA Division I soccer player and US Sports Scholarship Hall of Fame athlete who holds degrees in psychology and kinesiology. With more than a decade of experience in high-performance environments, as a player, researcher, and mental performance coach in professional soccer, his work focuses on helping athletes navigate the demands of elite development and competition.
Tom created Synergize Performance to bridge the gap between psychological preparation and physical performance, recognising that long-term success in sport comes from developing the whole athlete. His approach draws from his academic work in performance psychology, his understanding of strength and conditioning through kinesiology, and his experience working with athletes in competitive environments.
Having overcome significant injuries himself, Tom understands firsthand the challenges athletes face throughout their careers. This perspective shapes a philosophy centred on daily habits, personal ownership, and a holistic understanding of performance, helping athletes build the mindset and preparation required to perform consistently under pressure.
